THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING SEARCH AND RESCUE DOGS AVALANCHE (SARDA)

Search and Rescue Avalanche Dogs is the official volunteer organisation that provides search and rescue avalanche dog teams in alpine environments all over New Zealand. All of our handlers, trainers and supporters are 100% volunteers and give their time, expertise and passion for free.

We are an incorporated society and are registered as a charity in New Zealand.

Donations to the organisation will contribute to the training and care of the dogs, ensuring they are adequately equipped and prepared to save lives during avalanche emergencies. Your support can make a significant difference in our efforts to provide effective and efficient search and rescue operations in avalanche-prone areas.

Any contribution is greatly appreciated. Here are a few ways you can help us to provide search and rescue dog teams in avalanche prone areas.

Inspiration behind the Izzy candle
On 11 March 2024, Isabella Skye Bolton “Izzy”, age 21, was tragically taken in an avalanche on Mount Yotei, Hokkaido, Japan, where she was working as a ski guide. Izzy was a ray of light, and was full of life and adventure. Izzy’s light shines bright whilst raising funds for SARDA.

Come one, come all and get your paws on one of these beautiful A4 calendars. Each page features one of our Search and Rescue Avalanche Dogs NZ teams and some tasty tidbits of information to get to know the clever canine component of the team a little better (while they watch over you for an entire month – yay!)
